Step One: Contact Your Plumber<\/strong><\/p>\n

The most important stage in designing your new bathroom is contacting your plumber. Before you start imagining a stunning free-standing bath as the focal point of your new room, you must consider the practicalities. Is your bathroom big enough for a free-standing bath and a separate shower? Will your upstairs bathroom floor bear the weight of a cast-iron bath, water and someone in the bath too? Your plumber will be able to offer advice on potential layouts and technical issues relevant to your particular needs such as water pressure, the possible options for location of water and waste pipes and, crucially for those cold winter months, appropriate heating outputs.<\/p>\n
